How to Enable Wi-Fi on the EVO
The HTC EVO 4G has a built-in wireless networking adapter that you can use to connect to wireless routers and access points and use the Internet as you would with a notebook computer. Although you may also have data service through your mobile phone carrier, using a wireless network to get online when possible can help you lower your usage and avoid the overage charges that can be applied when you exceed your service plan's data allotment.

Tips
- To use a wireless router only one time and prevent the HTC EVO from connecting to it automatically in the future, return to the "Wi-Fi Settings" screen and touch the name of the router you want to stop using. You must currently be connected to the router. This displays a new screen displaying your phone's current IP address and other information about the connection. Touch the "Forget" button at the bottom of the screen to disconnect from the router and stop connecting to it automatically in the future.
