How to Sync a Blueant Headset

BlueAnt offers several Bluetooth headset models, including the T1 Rugged, the V1 Voice Controlled and the Q2 Platinum. BlueAnt's Bluetooth headsets allow you to use your cell phone as a hands-free device, making it safer and more convenient to talk on the phone while walking or driving. The first time you use your BlueAnt headset, you need to pair, or sync, the device to your cellphone. Syncing allows the headset and cellphone to communicate wirelessly.

  1. 1.

Slide the power switch on the back of the BlueAnt headset to the "On" position.

  2. 2.

Put the BlueAnt headset in your ear. If this headset was never used before, it immediately enters pairing mode. Otherwise, say "Pair me" when the headset prompts you to "Say a command."

  3. 3.

Say "Yes" if you currently have a phone connected to the headset. The headset enters pairing mode and waits for you to sync your cell phone.

  4. 4.

Locate the Bluetooth menu on your cell phone. For most devices, go to the Settings or Wireless screen to find the Bluetooth menu.

  5. 5.

Activate Bluetooth on your cell phone by selecting "On" in the Bluetooth menu.

  6. 6.

Select "Add new device" or "Scan for devices" if your cell phone does not automatically locate the BlueAnt headset.

  7. 7.

Select the BlueAnt headset from the list of available wireless devices.

  8. 8.

Enter "0000" if the cell phone asks for a PIN. Select "Yes," "Connect" or "Allow" to complete the syncing process.
